HAVING terminated my Partnership with Mister Hugh
Maclean, I beg leave to inform you that my house will be continued here under the Same firm WILLIAM DUFF GORDON & Cº.
The exportation of Sherry wine of wich I posses à large & valuable
stock, will always be a principal object of my attention, and as my establishment here is the continuation of that of my late much respected uncle SIR JAMES DUFF, I shall ever be most desirous to cultivate the connections of his old friend or of their representatives.
Looking forward to my early return to England my Friend Mister FREDERICK
GRELLET has undertaken to assist me for the present in conducting the Establishment, and du-
ring my absence he will have its sole management. From his talents & experience in bu-
siness I anticipate much satisfaction & advantage and I flatter myself that this arrangement
will equally insure the confidence and promote the interest of my friends.
I request in consequence that you will give the same credit to Mr. GRELLET´S
signature by procuration as to my own, and with the offer of my best Services, I remain, with regard.
