Gentlemen
I take the liberty to inform you, that the copartnership of
Arthur Gordon & C.o finished on the 31 of last December, since
wich time the business carried on in that house, has been for the
sole account of my former Partners and friends, James Gordon,
Robert Gordon, John David Gordon, and Charles Gordon, whom
I beg leave to recommend to the continuance of your friendship under
the title of Gordon and C.o Be assured they not only possess sufficient
funds and knowledge to serve their friends; but i know, by long ex-
perience they are honest men. On the other side you have their letter
and signature.
I return you my sincere thanks for the confidence, with which,
you have honored me for many years past and i remain respectfully.
